Carman Lee

Bachelor of Arts, York University

Master of Arts, York University

Bachelors of Law, University of Western Ontario

From the start of law school, Carman knew that she wanted to practice in personal injury law. People involved in accidents commonly suffer long-term injuries and the world of litigation is often too complex for injured parties to navigate on their own. These people are put in very difficult positions and Carman believes that being able to give them some solace and security for the future provides an intangible reward that not many other professions or areas of law can bring.

Upon graduating from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2012, Carman articled at a law firm which specialized in both personal injury and insurance defence law. She gained invaluable experience working alongside senior insurance defence counsel. She observed the various strategies used by insurance defence counsel in their representation of insurance companies and this will provide Carman with a distinct advantage in representing injured parties.

After being called to the Ontario bar in 2013, Carman worked at a prominent plaintiff personal injury firm where she gained extensive experience in tort and accident benefits litigation. Carman understands the importance of listening to her clients while also acting in their best interests.

In her free time, Carman enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, playing softball and following the Toronto Blue Jays and Toronto Maple Leafs.
