Jumpstart your personal injury law career with mentorship and meaningful work.

Core Focus:

  • Provide candid, strategic advice to a diverse range of clients

Personal Injury Law Clerk

Leverage your plaintiff personal injury or insurance defence experience to do more satisfying and groundbreaking work.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • File Management: Maintain and organize client files with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Keeping Lawyers on Track: Manage calendars, deadlines, and schedules to ensure lawyers stay organized and focused.
  • Document Preparation: Prepare, proofread, and organize legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and accident benefit applications.
  • Client Support: Act as a point of contact for clients, providing updates, gathering information, and maintaining trust and confidence.
  • Court and Insurance Liaison: File court documents, manage communications with insurers, and track timelines for statutory accident benefits claims.
  • Trial, Hearing and Mediation Preparation: Assist with organizing evidence, drafting briefs, and coordinating expert reports or witness schedules.

ACCOUNTANT

We seek a financial leader to drive accuracy and growth.

Core Focus: 

  • Collaborate with the Managing Director in orchestrating the firm’s financial operations, trust accounting, intercompany transactions and GST/HST filings.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure financial stability.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal, tax, and regulatory requirements specific to the legal industry.
  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
  • Reconcile accounts, including trust accounts, and ensure proper allocation of funds.
  • Assist with year-end audits and liaise with external auditors.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA designation not required but preferred.
  • Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in accounting, demonstrated experience working within a professional services environment a must
  • Familiarity with trust accounting and Law Society of Ontario (LSO) compliance is an asset.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, PCLaw) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
