Opinion: Changes to ODSP Don't Go Far Enough to Help Injury Victims

It seems like every day the news is filled with stories of human crisis on Canadian streets. There are calls to increase resources and support towards key social issues, including homelessness, mental health and addictions, as which have been made worse by the impacts of the pandemic.  Many of the people in crisis participate in the Ontario Disability Support program (ODSP).

Imtiaz Hosein, a personal injury lawyer at Campisi LLP, recently published an article in Law 360 Canada magazine, discussing how the recent funding increases in ODSP don't go far enough to help personal injury victims on ODSP.

In the article, Imtiaz discusses how to create a better balance between helping ODSP recipients keep a greater portion of their settlement and maintaining the financial stability of the program can be achieved.
